| Troy Barbitta : 'New Works' |

Troy Barbitta
New Works
Using the latest design techniques and his fascination of 17th century illustrations,
Troy brings his final art pieces together through the combination of weird thoughts, plaster, paint, concrete and
lacquer. Balance and space in his artwork is also important to Troy and this is evident throughout his
work.
Troy's artwork has been strongly influenced by art direction techniques learnt from many years
working as a multi-disciplined designer. He takes the spaces and voids applied richly in contemporary
graphic design and uses these to create a flow throughout his pieces?much like a creative ad campaign.
The inspiration for Troy?s work comes from blogs, magazines and moments from real-life events,
as well as his travels immersed in the arts saturated cultures of places like Melbourne and
New York.
